Design Thinking Impact Conference

15 Years of Design Thinking at Hasso Plattner Institute

As drivers of innovation, the Hasso Plattner Institute and its School of Design Thinking have successfully shaped the future of learning and work. Since its opening in 2007, the HPI D-School has enabled more than 3,000 students to gain an innovative mindset and develop human-centered solutions with an impact. The HPI Academy has trained more than 10,000 professionals. Let's gather in September to review the highlights of the last 15 years of Design Thinking activities at HPI and discuss how we can further shape business and society with the innovation approach!

The "Design Thinking ImpAct Conference: 15 Years of Design Thinking at HPI" will take place in a hybrid format. You can choose whether you would like to join us on-site at Hasso Plattner Institute in Potsdam or online via our event platform Let's Get Digital. Please note, on-site tickets are limited and we recommend registering as soon as possible!

The "Design Thinking ImpAct Conference" is part of the "Global Design Thinking Festival," which will take place in September and October 2022. In addition to the conference in Potsdam, the HPI D-School, the Hasso Plattner d-school Africa, and the Global Design Thinking Alliance (GDTA) will host the Global Design Thinking Challenge from September 8th to October 14th, and the d.confestival in Cape Town from October 12-14th, 2022.

We will kick of the Global Design Thinking Challenge at the Design Thinking ImpAct Conference.

For the challenge, the HPI D-School is partnering up with several global sponsors, including Siemens Foundation, and Design Thinking institutions from the Global Design Thinking Alliance to innovate and create solutions tackling the 4th Sustainable Development Goal as defined by the United Nations: "Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all."

To celebrate 15 years of Design Thinking in Potsdam, we have designed a unique opportunity for learners to create global impact while experiencing Design Thinking in diverse and multidisciplinary teams. Join the Global Design Thinking Challenge in September and October and co-develop innovative ideas to ensure quality education globally!
